Installation

Detailed video instruction on warm installation of entrance doors. Installation demonstrated using the Termix segment as an example

Main advantages of this installation method:

🔸 Improved thermal and sound insulation: effective protection against heat loss and noise penetration.

🔸 Prevention of freezing and condensation: reduces the risk of mold and improves the indoor microclimate.

In this video, we will take a detailed look at advanced technologies used during warm installation and explain how it helps protect your home from micro-drafts and moisture.

How to install entrance doors?

Before installation, check the opening dimensions (width and height). Standard door block widths are 860 mm and 960 mm. Standard door block height is 2050 mm.

Stage 1: Removing old doors

Remove the old door leaf from the hinges. Use a crowbar to bend and remove the old door frame. Removing old doors takes about half an hour to an hour.

Clean the opening from plaster residue. Test-fit the door frame. If necessary, use an angle grinder (or hammer drill) to widen the opening. Be careful not to chip off any part of the finished wall surface.

Perform a control measurement of the opening. Clean the debris and prepare the door for installation. Install the hardware. Secure the armored cover with screws on both sides using a screwdriver. Attach the handle to the pins inserted into the special holes. Then tighten both halves with screws.

Attention: the door opening should be 20 mm larger than the installation size of the door on each side. This ensures the foam can perform properly in the mounting seam. We recommend that the temperature during foam application does not exceed -2°C.

Stage 2: Installing the door into the opening

Install the door frame into the opening. For fixing and convenience during installation, use wooden wedges placed between the opening and the frame. Align the frame vertically first, then horizontally. Drill holes in the wall through the frame’s mounting holes using a hammer drill. Drive in the anchors and tighten the nuts to secure them. Close the mounting holes with special caps.

Attention: check the correctness of door installation to avoid distortion. The door should not move on its own. Check the tightness of the leaf to the frame, and the proper operation of the locks.

Stage 3: Filling the gaps with foam

Fill and seal the gaps between the wall and the door frame. Use mounting foam to protect the seams from external noise and odors. To ensure quality sealing, fill about 70% of the gap with foam. After the foam hardens, remove the excess.

ATTENTION! During installation and foaming, degrease the door frame to ensure better sealing. Foam is not a fixing material but a sealing agent for the door block.

Stage 4: Checking the correctness of installation

To check whether the entrance door is installed correctly, open the door leaf. If the installation was incorrect, the door will open or close by itself.
